Cab Elec-Comp Install II

JOB SUMMARY:

The Cabinet Electrical/Component Installer II will assemble and complete wire installations on aircraft cabinets at or above the expected standards of safety, quality, schedule, and cost, using engineering and industrial definitions, procedures and guidelines that support the delivery to the aircraft for all aircraft models. Promote and foster a positive work environment, and display a positive and respectful attitude. 

PRINCIPAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS):

Work with engineering and industrial definition using 2D/3D data, company standards and work instructions for wiring installations.

Perform wire routing and installation, terminations, splicing and lug installation on cabinets using specified tools 

Perform soldering, crimping, stripping wiring and electrical components installations

Perform Continuity and power checks

Use proper adhesives, and hardware per standards.  

Handles electrical components, finished, plated and painted parts in accordance with company standards and procedures

Perform at the expected standards of safety, quality, schedule and cost 

Foster ACE values with peers and helps create a work environment aimed at operational excellence

Communicate and interact well with co-workers and management

Use expertise to prevent rework and save potential lost time or possible scrap 

Ability to do rework at an aircraft

Maintain a clean and organized work area

Work in a safe manner in accordance with OSHA and company safety procedures

Perform cleaning of any equipment as needed

NON-PRINCIPAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES (NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS):

Other duties as assigned. 

MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

High school diploma or equivalent

3 years avionics/electrical experience or equivalent education

Proficient in all hand tools, electrical crimping tools, stripping tools and soldering tools.

Proficient with volt/ohm meters and other electrical tools.

Proficient in reading wiring diagrams and schematics.

Proficient in routing wires, terminations, splicing and install lugs installations on cabinets. 

Proficient at bonding and grounding techniques.

Proficient reading color coding and electrical symbols.

Proficient at performing continuity and power checks on cabinets and troubleshoot various issues.    

Know differences between AC or DC electrical components.  

Able to lift and transport up to 50 lbs. with or without a reasonable accommodation

Visual capacity and muscular dexterity to work on fine detail, high-cost products with a minimum of errors and rework 

Must be able to work with adhesives and chemicals

Must not be allergic to industrial chemicals

Proficient computer skills

ADDITIONAL DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Aircraft electrical/avionics experience.

Certified electronics technician degree. 

FCC license.

Able to solve practical problems.

Able to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

Typical factory environment. May work in areas with high noise levels. Must be able to work in confined spaces. Exposure to cabinet sanding dust.

This position is designated as a safety-sensitive position because it includes as part of the essential job duties operating equipment and tools on a routine basis. Additionally, the duties of this position concern the service and completion of aircraft, and overall airworthiness of the aircraft. This position is one in which a lapse of attention could result in injury, illness, or death. For the safety of this employee and others, the employee must be able to work in a constant state of alertness and concentrate for long periods of time while performing safety activities.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:

The compensation for this position typically falls between $22.00 and $25.00 per hour.  This position is eligible for overtime.  This position may be eligible for a sign on bonus, shift differential or relocation assistance.  Note, the final compensation offered to a successful candidate will depend on several factors that may include but are not limited to the type and years of relevant experience, Falcon-specific experience, relevant education/certifications, geographic location, and shift.
