Cabinet Shop Manager

We are seeking a seasoned Cabinet Shop Manager to lead our dedicated team, oversee daily operations, and contribute hands-on expertise to our custom projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Leadership & Team Management:

  • Supervise and mentor a team of skilled cabinetmakers and finishers.

  • Foster a culture of excellence, safety, and continuous improvement.

  • Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback.

• Production Oversight:

  • Plan and coordinate production schedules to meet project deadlines.

  • Ensure all products meet quality standards and client specifications.

  • Implement efficient workflow processes to optimize productivity.

• Technical Expertise:

  • Interpret and work from detailed blueprints and technical drawings.

  • Oversee the use and maintenance of woodworking machinery and tools.

  • Stay updated on industry trends and integrate new techniques as appropriate.

  • Work in the shop in both skilled woodwork, cabinetry and finishing to ensure timelines stay true

• Inventory & Resource Management:

  • Manage inventory levels of materials and supplies.

  • Coordinate with operations manager to ensure timely procurement of resources.

  • Monitor and control production costs to maintain budgetary goals

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in cabinet manufacturing or woodworking shop management.

• Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings (preferably from Moziak).

• Strong leadership and team management skills.

• Excellent organizational and communication abilities.

• Familiarity with woodworking machinery and safety protocols.

• Experience with CAD/CAM software is a plus, preferably Moziak

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications or training in woodworking or management are advantageous.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.

• Comfortable working in a workshop environment with exposure to machinery and tools.
