CAD Drafter – Residential Land Surveying Position Summary:

Under the supervision of the Survey Drafting Manager, the CAD Drafter will be responsible for various drafting work and other related assignments for final Residential Survey Preparation of Platted Subdivisions, Metes & Bounds legal descriptions. This work is performed indoors and requires the ability to move in various standing and sitting positions and the ability to lift no more than 50 pounds. This position offers opportunities for advancement for individuals that demonstrate a strong work ethic and continually contribute to the success of the organization.

Monday through Friday at 1500 W 3rd St, MZ130, Cleveland, OH 44113 as scheduled by the supervisor.

Requirements

CAD Drafter – Residential Land Surveying Position Responsibilities:

• Independently perform accurate survey calculations and drafting from field survey notes, record information and instruction from Professional Land Surveyor.
• Ability to prepare basic boundary surveys and location drawings and other types of residential survey mapping drawings in a timely, accurate and complete manner.
• Provide real-time technical support to field survey crews; point coordinate files, field calculation, boundary resolutions, and other information as needed to facilitate completion of field survey work.
• Fully adhere to Exacta’s policies, procedures and work directives.
• Resolve internal/external customer issues in a prompt and professional manner.
• Establish and maintain effective working relationships with other employees, managers, clients and other parties as related to Exacta’s services and overall business.
• Perform all duties as assigned to meet business needs in a safe, ethical and professional manner.

CAD Drafter – Residential Land Surveying Skills and Experience:

• Minimum of high school diploma/GED diploma required; Associates / Technical Degree or higher preferred.
• 1+ years of successful job-related land surveying drafting experience; Applied CAD experience.
• Proven and demonstrated professional skill sets to include, but not limited to CAD operations and survey experience.
• Able to communicate and respond to questions in a professional and knowledgeable manner ensuring business outcomes; assertive problem-solver and action-oriented team player. Must have a relentlessly positive, flexible, do-whatever-it-takes attitude.
• Ability to balance the workload to accommodate demands of the job and exceed client expectations.
• Proficient in the independent application and use of job-related software/e-technology/cloud-based solutions.
