JOB SUMMARY:
Coordinates all aspects of drafting and production standards including documentation, training of internal and external resources, maintenance, and
supports Quality Assurance of production documents in support of Common Plan Management. Establishes, maintains, and provides oversight of all
related processes. Coordinates all aspects relative to Standards with all individuals up and down the Product Development chain.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Establish and maintain Drafting and Production Standards and processes in accordance with NAS direction
Support oversight of Drafting and Production QA processes
Train internal and 3rd party personnel on all CAD and Drafting standards and processes
Travel as required for field visit and other off-site events
Maintain accurate digital drawing file storage and archives
Asset management
Maintain CAD systems and software requirements
REQUIRED EDUCATION:
Bachelor's Degree or Associate degree in Drafting
• Extensive knowledge and work experience in residential construction may reduce or replace this requirement
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
5 years minimum experience in Auto CAD environment as Draftsman with 1-2 additional years’ experience as a Drafting Production Manager
Knowledge in drafting production standards development and understanding of BIM concepts is also a must
CD development and construction expertise
Project management expertise
Outsource management expertise
Software Skills – Word, Excel, and ACAD at a minimum. BIM software is a plus
