CADD Technician A

GovFirst is seeking to hire multiple CADD Technician A positions to support our engineering opportunities in various locations of Virginia which includes Bristol, Fredericksburg, Hampton Roads, Norfolk, Newport News, Suffolk, Surry, Salem, Lynchburg, Staunton, Culpeper & Richmond, VA within the Transportation Operations Division.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare technical drawings and designs independently under broad direction from Engineers or Project Managers.
  

• Research and develop design concepts using GIS tools.
  

• Perform surveying drafting using CADD workstations, mobile mapping, lidar, and other graphics software.
  

• Set up and develop required deliverables according to project specifications.
  

• Take on progressively increased responsibility aligned with years of experience and expertise.
  

• Ensure designs meet applicable standards and client expectations.
  

Requirements

• Experience using CADD workstations, GIS, mobile mapping, and lidar technologies.
  

• Ability to prepare technical drawings and designs with minimal supervision.
  

• Strong research and problem-solving skills to develop innovative solutions.
  

• Progressive experience in drafting and surveying, with increasing responsibility over time.
  

• Effective communication and collaboration with Engineers and Project Managers.
  

• Attention to detail and commitment to delivering accurate and high-quality designs.
