Position Overview:
We are seeking a Café Assistant to join our team. As a Café Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the daily operations of our bakery and café. This is an opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment and gain valuable experience in the culinary industry.

Duties:
- Assist with the preparation and production of food items such as breakfast and lunch meals and bakery items such as cookies, muffins, and donuts
- Follow recipes and instructions to ensure consistent quality and taste
- Operate kitchen equipment and machinery safely and efficiently
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café and kitchen areas
- Assist with inventory management, including receiving and stocking ingredients and supplies
- Provide excellent customer service by assisting customers with their food and bakery orders
- Handle cash transactions using the Square POS system

- Correctly deliver orders to customers in the dining room
- Adhere to food safety guidelines and ensure proper handling, storage, and sanitation of food products
- Collaborate with other team members to meet production goals and deadlines

Experience:
- Previous experience in a bakery, cafe, or other culinary environment is preferred but not required
- Knowledge of food handling, safety, and sanitation practices
- Familiarity with kitchen equipment operation and maintenance
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow recipes accurately
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and helpful attitude
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively
