SUMMARY/POSITION OVERVIEW
This job contributes to the success of the CrossRidge Café by ensuring service and Cafe standards are met. This is
accomplished by providing customers with prompt, friendly service, quality food and beverages. CrossRidge Café
customers should experience a friendly, upbeat and clean atmosphere.
PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Develops enthusiastically satisf ied customers all of the time
• Welcomes and connects with every customer.
• Discover customer needs and appropriately suggests products.
• Responds to customer needs while demonstrating a Christ -like attitude.
2. Provides quality beverages and food consistently for all customers
• Prepares Café food and beverages according to standards
• Follows health, safety and sanitation guidelines for all products
3. Maintains Quality Café operations
• Follows Café policy and procedures for operational f low at each station
• Follows standards for merchandising, stocking, rotating and storing products
• Performs cleaning tasks in accordance with the cleaning standards and works as a Café team
member
• Is responsible for Opening/Closing procedures
• Runs errands, when needed, to pick up supplies and/or product
• Check temperatures of f reezers, ref rigerators, or heating equipment to ensure proper functioning
• Clean service & seating areas, sanitize work areas, utensils, & equipment
• Presents oneself professionally
4. Contributes to Café prof itability
• Follows cash handling procedures and cash register policies
• Follows inventory stocking and recording guidelines
• Contributes to Café goals for increasing sales and improving prof its
5. Takes responsibility to learn all aspects of the barista position
• Ensure exceptional Café experiences for customers through exceptional service
Requirements
JOB REQUIREMENTS
• Previous Café experience preferred but not mandatory
• Knowledge of customer service techniques
• Enthusiastic, self -motivated and customer service driven
• Must be able to demonstrate ef fective interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
• Must be a team player and exhibit the ability to work in a team environment that crosses internal and
external organizational boundaries
• Ability to lif t and pull down boxes weighing up to 30 pounds
• Ability to respond well to change
• Assist Supervisor in any and all tasks as needed
• Well-organized and detail-oriented
• Conduct regular inventory and stocking tasks following the recording guidelines
EDUCATION
• High School graduate
COMPUTER SKILLS
• Preferred: Basic knowledge of Microsof t Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Preferred: Background using touch screen POS systems but not mandatory
