Cafe Manager

The Cafe Manager oversees the daily operations of an assigned French Truck Coffee location, with a strong emphasis on team member satisfaction, operational excellence, and safety. This role ensures the cafe operates efficiently and in compliance with labor laws and company policies, while maintaining a warm, clean, and welcoming environment that reflects French Truck Coffee’s commitment to exceptional customer service.

The Cafe Manager is accountable for labor management, scheduling, inventory control, expense management, and team performance. As a representative of French Truck Coffee, they are responsible for building and nurturing professional relationships with their team and upholding the company’s standards at all times.

Essential Job Functions

• Lead and manage all cafe team members, including both front-of-house and back-of-house (kitchen) staff.
• Create and maintain weekly schedules aligned with labor cost goals and operational needs.
• Track team attendance and ensure compliance with attendance policies.
• Maintain accurate inventory by managing orders and organizing invoices in accordance with record retention guidelines.
• Coach and support team members by fostering a culture of learning, accountability, and development.
• Submit timely order requests for all necessary items and supplies to ensure smooth cafe operations.
• Collaborate with the Operations Manager to uphold safety, quality, and productivity standards across all roles.
• Conduct regular facility walk-throughs to ensure compliance with cleanliness, organization, and operational standards.
• Maintain consistent communication with the Operations Manager, including bi-weekly one-on-one meetings.
• Oversee and support the execution of training programs for both front- and back-of-house employees.
   

Requirements

Education/Experience Requirements

• At least one (3) years of operations management experience in the food service, food product manufacturing and/or hospitality industry 

Working Conditions & Physical Demands

• Able to lift up to 50 pounds
• Able to stand for prolonged periods of time frequently
