About the Position:

Server needed to work in harmony with café staff and clients. As senior members of the food service staff, the server is to assist restaurant management and will also supervise, coordinate and train junior service staff. Food service duties include interacting with customers, serving, answering questions, informing patrons of special menu items and keeping the dining area clean and organized.

Schedule:

• Varied, as-needed hours Wednesday through Sunday between 7:00 am and 3:00 pm.

Your Role:

• Supervise and participate in dining area cleaning activities.


• Resolve customer complaints regarding food service and report back to supervisors to ensure corrective action is taken to ensure a great customer experience.


• Assist in train client in service, sanitation, and safety procedures.


• Inspect supplies, equipment, and work areas to ensure efficient service and conformance to standards.


• Recommend measures for improving work procedures and worker performance to increase service quality and enhance job safety.


• Analyze operational problems, such as theft and waste, and establish procedures to alleviate these problems.


• Perform various financial activities such as cash handling and deposit preparation as necessary.


• Compile and balance cash receipts at the end of the day or shift as necessary.


• Present bills and accept payments.


• Greet and seat guests and present menus.


• Comply with all federal, state and accreditation regulatory requirements.

Qualifications:

• Education Level: High School Diploma or GED required.


• Related experience in the food and beverage industry preferred.


• Minimum 2 years of related experience in a guest service environment preferred.


• ServSafe certification preferred.

Compensation:

The base rate of pay for this position is $16.35 per hour plus tips. Actual pay is determined based on a number of job-related factors including skills, education, training, credentials, experience, scope and complexity of role responsibilities, geographic location, performance, and working conditions.
