Position Summary

Charlotte’s Coffee House seeks personable, adaptable, and service-oriented Team Members to join our dynamic, fast-paced café environment. This is a cross-functional position responsible for a wide range of duties, including barista service, food preparation, kitchen expediting, cashiering, baker and front-of-house support. The core focus of this role is to deliver an exceptional guest experience and contribute to the seamless daily operations of our cafés.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver an outstanding customer experience by proactively attending to guest needs and cultivating a welcoming atmosphere.
• Prepare and serve a variety of coffee, beverages, and food items, adhering to Charlotte's quality and presentation standards.

• Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of all orders by effectively coordinating between the kitchen and front-of-house staff.

• Process customer transactions accurately using the point-of-sale (POS) system, including cash handling and payment processing.

• Execute daily opening and closing procedures meticulously to ensure operational readiness and efficiency.

• Maintain a clean, sanitized, and organized work environment, including stocking service areas throughout the shift.

• Assist with inventory management, including restocking supplies and adhering to all health and safety regulations.

• Foster a positive and collaborative team environment to ensure a seamless workflow.

Qualifications

• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with a customer-centric approach.

• Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment while managing multiple tasks.

• A high degree of adaptability and a willingness to be cross-trained across all café functions (e.g., Barista, Cashier, Cook, Food Prep).

• Flexible schedule availability, including weekends.

• Keen attention to detail, especially regarding order accuracy, presentation, and cleanliness.

• Previous experience in a café, food service, customer service, or hospitality role is highly preferred but not required.

• Knowledge of food safety protocols is considered an asset.

Compensation & Benefits

• Competitive hourly wage of $12.00–$14.00, supplemented by tips.
