Cage Cashier Lead

Summary: Cage Cashier – Leads are responsible for overseeing cash handling and employees in the Cage and must be able to adhere to and follow Nevada State Gaming Control and in-house casino policies and procedures.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following: (Other duties may be assigned)

• Audits/rectifies casino transactions as needed
• Places orders for cigarettes, office supplies, and other items for the casino
• Creates effective schedules for Cage employees with General Manager and/or Operations Managers guidance
• Handles Guest Service issues as needed
• Helps to prepare and may deliver Disciplinary Actions as needed for Cage employees
• Attends required meetings
• Conducts an inventory of all cash and its equivalents
• Be knowledgeable of and able to explain/promote all Casino and Marketing events
• Ensures that all transactions balance, and deliver necessary paperwork to Accounting
• Oversees and trains all Cage an Drop Team employees

Education/Experience:

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent
• Two years’ Cage Cashier experience, preferred
• One year Management in a casino environment, preferred

Language Ability:

• Must be able to communicate effectively in verbal and written English language

Math Ability:

• Excellent math skills; ability to calculate money accurately

Certificates and Licenses:

• Gaming Registration with the Nevada Gaming Control Board

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand for extended periods of time
• Reaching, bending, stretching, lifting up to 25lbs
• Ability to work in a noisy, smoky casino environment
• Ability to work in a small, confined, office-type setting

Knowledge/Skills:

• Excellent organizational abilities
• Ability to handle cash, calculate accurately, analyze, and account for cash and coin
• Excellent management skills
