Job Description - Cage Counter



  • Remove all bill acceptors from slot machines on gaming floor.



  • Count all currency from bill acceptors.

  • Count all chips from table games and box all poker chips.

  • Enter table drop into computer.

  • Verify openers, closers and table fills with computer, document any variances.

  • Record totals on proper paperwork.

  • Operate coin rollers for reloads and rolled coin.

  • Return currency, coin and reloads to vault for supervisor verification.

  • Enter currency totals on computer for each gaming table.

  • Make copies of all pertinent paperwork and deliver to the appropriate person.

  • Clean all machines and perform minor maintenance on coin rollers.

  • Balance currency and prepare for transfer to vault.

  • Perform inventory on the following areas on the first of each month.

    • Count Chips on all gaming tables.

    • Count chips in poker bank

    • Count chips and currency in vault.



  • Provide excellent customer service to customers, internal and external alike.

  • New duties and procedures as created and assigned.
