The Senior Accountant of Caliday School Age Programs plays a critical role in providing support for all accounting, cash management, budgeting, financial reporting and finance functions. We are seeking a highly motivated individual, with advanced accounting knowledge, who can work jointly with various operational and finance teams, to produce timely and accurate financial information. 

Key Responsibilities

• Support the monthly close process including analytical review to ensure accurate accounting records are maintained 
• Prepare journal entries and workpapers supporting the month end and year end close 
• Reconcile, monitor, and maintain accurate records of daily cash activity 
• Assist in the preparation of cash flow and liquidity analyses 
• Prepare weekly operational reports for corporate management 
• Review and reconcile Ramp business credit card and employee reimbursement account 
• Support the preparation of accurate and timely financial reporting packages, including monthly and annual financial statements
• Manage fixed assets using software, reconcile monthly depreciation entries, and assist with preparing Personal Property Tax Returns
• Assist in the development and implementation of systems to streamline financial processes, reduce waste, and optimize resources across the organization
• Leverage financial software and tools to improve data analysis, reporting accuracy, and decision-making processes 
• Work cross-functionally with other departments to align financial objectives with business strategies 
• Support all accounting functions, including budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and audits
• Any other responsibilities that may be assigned from time to time 

Required Qualifications

• BA/BS degree in Accounting 
• Minimum of 3-5 years in a staff or senior accounting role
• A strong understanding of GAAP and deadline driven 
• Exceptional analytical skills and proficiency in financial reporting tools and systems
• Proficiency with MS Office products, particularly Excel (Pivot Tables, Look-ups, Index/Matching) 
• Excellent written and verbal skills with the ability to communicate financial data to non-financial colleagues 
• NetSuite experience and non-profit experience preferred
