Call Center Representative

Semmes Murphey Clinic's mission is to deliver the best care for people suffering from neurological illness while advancing the field of neuroscience. 

Our contact center representatives' are typically the first staff members our patients speak with at Semmes Murphey. In most cases, you are responsible for the first impression patients have of our clinic. You will provide patients with various information or transfer them to the appropriate departments or staff. This role is a good fit if you enjoy speaking with patients by phone, working in a fast pace, busy, environment, and providing excellent customer service.  

This is an onsite position. Hours in this role are Monday to Friday from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm. 

We are searching for a candidate who:

• is able to communicate effectively, both oral and written, with excellent listening skills and the ability to speak clearly
• has good time management with the ability to manage workflow and prioritize demands
• has excellent interpersonal skills and can manage difficult or emotional patient situations
• will provide excellent customer service while maintaining a high level of confidentiality and discretion
  

This position requires a high school diploma or equivalent and strong customer service experience/focus. Experience in the healthcare field and heavy telephone usage are preferred, and bilingual in Spanish is a plus.

The candidate must be proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Internet software, electronic medical records and practice management software. Organizational skills with attention to detail is required.
