Our client is a Fortune 500 multi-national technology company headquartered in Menlo Park, CA.
Summary:
We are looking for an experienced candidate who understand camera test basics, including camera module components, image quality, sensor settings, image processing, lighting conditions etc. The role will need the candidate is able to propose test metrics and test ideas, build and improve test setup.
Job Responsibilities:
- Image capture with test setup or tester, calibrating the tester, operation of all type of imaging equipment like spectrometer, radiometer, integration sphere
- Build setups per requirements, sourcing necessarily parts and components, familiarity with optical imaging building blocks.
- Control the test setup with automation script
- Participate project development in test engineering role
- Data analysis, image processing, like feature detection, image analysis with python or matlab, familiarity with JMP is a plus
- Writing scripts for GUI tool
- Setup test environment and capture images, run SFR, flatfield, dark thermal etc tests with specific camera module.
- Design and build test fixtures to accommodate specific test requirement, such as prototype tester or test chart, with optomechanical components.
- Debug tester and testing issues
- Support lab activities, such as planning lab space, purchasing lab suppliers, organizing lab equipment, tools etc.
- Control test equipment and build test automation.
- Create test plan to meet product performance requirement.
Skills:
- Camera test, optical, or sensor background
- Build test setup experience
- Matlab/Python experience
- Imaging analysis and camera test experience
- Hands on with camera test and all the lab tools and equipment, and able to design test setup with and without guidance.
- Familiar with light analysis equipment and tools, such as power and energy meters, spectrometers
- Familiar with sensor setting change
- Image processing, analysis and test metric algorithm implementation with Matlab or Python
- Presentation with JMP or Excel.
- Access and control electrical equipment, like spectrometers, laser metrologies are preferred.
- Ability to interpret, analyze and evaluate given information relative to research.
- Self motivated, persuasive, and analytical.
- Excellent communication skills, verbal and written.
Education/Experience:
- Bachelors degree in engineering required.
- Experience working with research labs.
