Working closely with the Camp Catalyst Manager, you’ll help design and deliver dynamic, hands-on programming that keeps kids learning, laughing, and thriving. Whether you’re leading a team-building challenge, or cheering on a camper who just overcame a fear, you’ll be making a real difference every single day.

Serving students entering 3rd through 5th grade, you’ll play a key role in fighting summer learning loss and building essential social-emotional skills—all while living out our motto: “Better Together.” At Camp Catalyst, we build a community where every camper feels seen, heard, and celebrated.

Counselor Position runs:

Training Dates: July 1st, 2025 - July 3rd, 2025; mornings

Camp Dates: July 8th, 2025 – July 31st, 2025; Tuesday – Thursday, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm

Compensation: $15.00 per hour

• Supervise campers during various activities, fostering a positive and inclusive environment.


• Assist in planning and implementing a diverse camp program that supports emotional regulation and conflict resolution skills.


• Participate in overall camp program planning, contributing ideas and feedback.


• Consistently maintain safety standards, ensuring the well-being of campers.


• Build positive relationships with campers, parents, and staff, fostering open communication.


• Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organization of camp areas.


• Report any issues or concerns to the Camp Catalyst Manager for resolution.


• Performs other related duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education and/or Experience

• Background in supporting children with ADHD or other forms of neurodiversity is highly valued.


• Strong communication and organizational skills.


• Ability to work effectively in a dynamic environment with diverse groups of people.


• CPR and First Aid certification, along with Child Abuse Prevention training within 30 days of hire.


• Experience working with children and implementing age-appropriate activities.


• Previous experience with diverse populations is preferred.
  

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to walk, stand, sit, talk, and hear.


• Occasional operation of objects or tools.


• Climbing, balancing, stooping, or kneeling may be required.


• Light lifting (5-10 lbs.) and infrequent heavy lifting (up to 50 lbs.).


• Work both indoors and outdoors, exposed to various weather conditions.
