Job Description - Camp Fear Ticket Booth/Guest Attendant

The Ticket Booth Guest Attendant serves as the first point of contact for guests at Camp Fear/Nightmare Theater.



This is a seasonal part-time position. Potential starting dates as early as 9/15/25 with the first movie night being 9/27/25 and running through 10/31/25. The typical shifts would be from 5pm to 9:30pm. The pay is $15/hr. We ask for a weekly commitment of at least 1 shift per weekend and 1 of the Thursday shifts during the Camp Fear season. 



This role is ideal for individuals who are friendly, outgoing, and passionate about Halloween and the haunted season. The attendant is responsible for setting up and closing the ticket booth, checking in guests, selling tickets and retail items, and providing exceptional customer service throughout the guest experience.



Key Responsibilities



  • Set up the ticket booth and office area each evening to ensure a welcoming and organized environment.

  • Greet all guests warmly as the first point of contact at the park.

  • Check in guests with reservations using the Firefly Reservation system.

  • Sell walk-up tickets for sites, firepits, and retail items.

  • Upsell additional retail items, event dates, and park experiences to maximize guest enjoyment and revenue.

  • Clearly communicate directions, event information, and answer any questions guests may have.

  • Resolve guest concerns and problems efficiently and professionally.

  • Answer incoming calls on the park phone, providing accurate information and assistance to callers.

  • Use walkie-talkies to communicate with internal teams and security regarding guest needs, business levels, and any potential issues.

  • Close down the ticket booth at the end of the night, ensuring all cash, equipment, and merchandise are secured and the area is locked up.


Qualifications



  • Friendly, outgoing personality with a genuine enthusiasm for the haunted season.

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to provide clear information to guests.

  • Experience in customer service, hospitality, or retail preferred.

  • Ability to handle cash and operate point-of-sale systems.

  • Comfortable using technology, including reservation systems, and walkie-talkies.

  • Problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure.

  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work evenings and weekends as required.
