Camp Mowkawogan, in Concord, NH, is seeking Lifeguards for the summer 2025 season! If you are looking for a fulfilling summer job where you can lift up others in your community, gain valuable management experience and cultivate positive culture change – this is the opportunity for YOU!

Our camp, a traditional summer day camp has a team of Lifeguards that support and oversee camp swim time throughout the summer. We serve youth ages 5-13 at camp and ensure safety all while having fun and acting as positive role models. We strive to build supportive and empowering teams to help all team members show up as their best and most authentic selves, so that you can learn, grow and thrive during your tenure at the Y.

Lifeguards must have the ability to recognize and respond to hazardous situations. They must be able to supervise swimmers, minimize dangers, educate members about water safety, enforce rules and give assistance whenever needed. Eligible candidates should possess a current Red Cross Lifeguard or YMCA Lifeguard certification (or be willing and able to obtain via one of our FREE courses) and additional First Aid related certifications.
 

Additional Responsibilities:

• Build positive nurturing relationships with campers
• Build cooperative relationships with coworkers, supervisors and parents
• Engage with campers in a way that fosters Character building
• Uphold the YMCA values of Caring, Honesty, Respect, Responsibility and Courage

Qualifications:

• Must be a current Lifeguard certified
• Must be available to attend camp trainings before and during camp season
• Able to bring a patient, caring, responsible, flexible and positive attitude to work

Position Specifics:

• Camp season runs 6/23/25 through 8/22/25 and must be able to work a majority of the camp weeks.
