Camp PE Specialist - Summer 2025

Description

We are looking for a Camp PE Specialist to finish out our summer camp! Our camp satrted June 9th and will run through August 15th for kids ages 6 to 14 years. We welcome candidates of all religious faiths to apply.

The Camp PE Specialist is responsible for planning and conducting art projects that foster an environment that is fun and creative for the campers throughout the summer.

Other duties and responsibilities include:

· Organize and carry out age-appropriate sports activities each day of camp.

· Organize tournaments (Olympics, color wars, etc.).

· Oversee instruction of various sports lessons during camp.

· Responsible for sports equipment (maintenance, inventory, storage, and replacement).

· Demonstrate respect and proper use of all sports equipment.

· Provide, enforce, and maintain the safety standards and regulations associated with sports.

· Provide a planned and thoughtful program that will interest and excite campers.

· Communicate planned activities to camp staff.

· Encourage all campers to participate in activities.

· Serve as a positive role model and mentor.

· Share highlights of sessions with Camp Director for weekly message to parents and camp staff.

· Work with Camp Director to order supplies for camp.

Requirements

• Excellent oral communication skills
• Strong judgement with safety and children
• High aptitude to manage day-to-day interactions with children in grades K-8
• Strong ability to work collaboratively with the camp staff

Education/Experience:

• High school or college student or graduate
• Previous experience working with youth, preferred
• Proven success in their specialty
