Camp Store Associate

The Camp Store Associate must have excellent customer service, cash register and cash handling skills. They will interact with customers in a friendly, professional manner and assist in preparing the Store during off-peak times via folding, cleaning, and stocking.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Interact with customers in a timely, friendly and courteous manner
• Provide excellent customer service
• Process sales through the cash register, handling all cash and charge transactions with accuracy
• Restock shelves with merchandise
• Keep store tidy and neat in appearance
• Conduct yourself in a professional manner that coincides with the policies and procedures of Frost Valley YMCA
• Other duties as assigned by the Camp Store Manager or the Chief Operations Officer
• Ensure that Frost Valley YMCA achieves the highest standard and meets the mission and goals of the organization

• Perform other duties as assigned

• Must be 14 years of age or older- Must have working papers
• Schedule may include evening and Sunday shifts
• Possess excellent verbal communications skills and a strong, independent work ethic
• Able to provide excellent customer service and maintain a high level of attention to detail in all work
• Ability to work with children of various ages
• Commitment to working with a diverse staff and population for the fulfillment of YMCA goals

WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds at times
• Must be able to stand for long periods as well as be able to bend and reach
• The noise level in the work environment during peak times is moderate to high
