Purpose of the role

As a Digital Marketing Intern, you'll be given a hands-on role in the operations of a leading PR and digital marketing agency. Expect to play a social media focused and team support role by helping to manage multiple projects and requests for clients. You will be exposed to and learn how to own the development of social media calendars, community management, research projects, client reports and other general account administrative tasks. You will develop a clear understanding of the team’s requirements and objectives in order to assist them across all initiatives, including various creative projects and critical learning experiences. A positive attitude is a must.

Candidates should immediately be available for a full-time internship and local to either our San Diego or San Francisco offices.

Main responsibilities

• Provides social media execution and management of related digital activity
• Supports and maintains social media communities, campaigns and projects for TEAM LEWIS’s clients
• Proactively research projects and social media/digital trends for team members to communicate findings to clients
• Utilize analytics tools to assist with the development of client reports
• Develop social media content calendars and provide execution with guidance from the team
• Bring ideas and opportunities to the team to fuel your client’s objectives
• Provide general support for agency projects, such as social media posts and new business research
• Gain an understanding of a client’s market by reading relevant industry publications and reporting any relevant findings to the team
• Partner with other account servicing teams to develop compelling and impactful digital content and integrated campaigns for both current and prospective clients
• Participation in group brainstorms (pitch ideas, etc.)

• Interest in technology and technology companies is a plus
• Previous digital marketing or communications internship experience is a strong plus

The hourly pay rate for the Intern position is $18 per hour.
