Location: Greater Sacramento Region, North San Francisco Bay Area (Petaluma, Marin County)

At Bayside, we believe no pastor should ever do ministry alone. The Campus Launch Pastor will step into a team-driven approach, planting within the “fire line” of Bayside’s expanding reach — fully supported by the systems, resources, and relationships of Global Bayside. You won’t be starting from scratch. Instead, you’ll launch with the strength of a trusted name, a core team joining from existing campuses, and the encouragement of a network of leaders committed to reaching new communities with the hope of Christ. Together, we multiply so that more people can experience God’s love and transformation — with a vision to launch five additional Bayside locations in the coming years.

Objective: To lead the launch and growth of a new Bayside Church location, fostering a unified staff and congregation while upholding Bayside's mission, values, and culture.

Primary Responsibilities:

Campus Launch:

• Implement Bayside’s four-step launch strategy:
• Recruit, develop, and care for a core group.
• Form teams for key ministries: kids, students, small groups, setup/cleanup, and weekend services.
• Organize core group events leading to preview services that drive measurable, sustained growth.
• Establish weekly gatherings, progressing towards full-fledged services.
• Manage launch funds while casting vision to develop a tithing base that supports the campus's financial health.

Campus Leadership:

• Champion the ministry, leadership, and mission of Bayside Church.
• Lead, inspire, and empower staff and congregants to live out their gifts and calling for kingdom impact.
• Oversee weekend services, maintaining quality across first impressions, children's ministry, youth programs, and both in-person and online experiences.
• Create a welcoming atmosphere with inspiring worship and engaging biblical teaching.
• Ensure alignment of staffing, facilities, and programs to support pastoral care and discipleship through small groups and mid-week ministries.
• Foster relationships within the community and promote Bayside's outreach locally and globally.

Organizational Leadership:

• Preach twice a month at your campus and once a month at another Bayside location, serving the broader organization.
• Participate in weekly Senior Campus Pastor meetings, contributing to organizational vision and direction.
• Attend and occasionally lead Staff Chapel meetings.

• Communication: Effective oral and written communication skills.
• Productivity: High energy with a focus on managing personal and team productivity.
• Personnel Management: Knowledge in recruiting, supervising, and evaluating staff, with a focus on individual and organizational development.
• Emotional Intelligence: Capable of navigating tough conversations with strength and grace.

Mission-Critical Responsibilities:

• Actively support and embody the mission, vision, and core values of Bayside Church.
• Maintain open and frequent communication with supervisors, staff, and team members.
• Uphold the Bayside Core Values, Staff Culture & Values, Vision Statement and Points of Accountability.

Time Commitment:

This full-time, ministerial exempt position requires availability on nights, weekends, and holidays.
