Job Description - CANCER CONFERENCE COORDINATOR

Cancer Conference Coordinator\n\nOncology Information Center \n\n1st shift, Flex, Varied\n\nFull Time / 80 hours per pay period\n\n**Position will be located at Atrium Medical Center \n\nThe Cancer Conference Coordinator will assist the Abstractors and Oncology Administration, per departmental policy and procedures, with the following, but not limited to, three main areas.\n\nFollow-Up \u2013Checking listings for expired patients, researching electronic medical record for patients lost to follow-up\n\nMultidisciplinary Cancer Conferences \u2013 Work with oncology nurse navigators, physician staff, and our essential partners to obtain cases to be presented. Perform pre-and post-conference tasks. Assist with conference setup, including obtaining help from IT staff should there be technical difficulties with equipment during oncology conferences. Enter conference data into templates and/or oncology database for Commission on Cancer tracking. Participate in annual CME application process to ensure credits are provided for conference attendees. Maintain attendance lists and submit proper documentation per department request and for tracking CMEs.\n\nCommission on Cancer accreditation \u2013 As necessary, assist with simple reporting, data collection for Oncology Committee meeting reports or other documentation required for Commission on Cancer accreditation\n\nEducation\n\nMinimum Level of Education Required: High School completion / GED\n\nLicensure/Certification/Registration\n\nExperience\n\nMinimum Level of Experience Required: No prior job-related work experience\n\nPreferred experience: Medical Office experience preferred\n\nKnowledge/Skills\n\nTechnical skills of Medical Terminology and anatomy required\n\nKnowledge of Microsoft Office\n\nExcellent keyboarding skills of 40 wpm with accuracy\n\nKnowledgeable with various computer hardware\n\nSuperior telephone skills\n\nAbility to work independently and with a team\n\nAttention to detail\n\nEffective written, verbal, and non-verbal communication skills\n\nFlexibility with change and interruptions, attention to details\n
