Cancer Conference Follow Up Coordinator

Overview
Responsible for maintaining successful follow up rates of patients in the cancer registry database to meet national accreditation standards. Coordinates all cancer conference related activities which include but are not limited to: receiving cases, notifying appropriate departments of case posting, communicating weekly cancer conference agendas , preparing slide presentations and distributing CME information to attendees.

What you will do

• Utilize the EMR to maintain follow up on all eligible cases in RHS Cancer Registry database.
• Cancer Conference duties: Receive and post cases for discussion at cancer conference. Notify pathology and radiology departments of requested materials to be presented. Notify all requested physicians to be present. Create the cancer conference PowerPoint. Record attendance at cancer conference, record conference date and elements of discussion in the cancer registry database. Maintain cancer conference grid for each accredited facility. Email CME information to all attendees
• Maintain the cancer conference distribution lists for all RHS locations.
• Maintain education credits related to cancer registry for Commission on Cancer Accreditation requirements.
• Ability to use MS Office - Excel , PowerPoint

Qualifications

Education

• High School Diploma or GED, (Required)
• Associates Degree, Science or related field (Preferred)

Experience

• 1 year Previous cancer registry experience (Preferred)
• 1 year Health Care related experience (Required)

Skills and Abilities

• General clerical skills including ability to use a fax machine, copier, conference phones
• Organizational Skills with attention to detail
• Microsoft Office technology; Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
