Job Description - Capacity Sales Manager

Overview 


This role is fully dedicated to leadership and operational oversight. Your focus will be on managing your assigned load board, supporting your team, and ensuring freight coverage and service expectations are met.


 


Responsibilities


As a Capacity Sales Manager, you will be responsible for:



  • Ability to facilitate and motivate individual Capacity Specialist Reps and as a team.

  • Work with carrier base to drive the use of Trident’s digital and automated systems.

  • Monitor staff performance addressing issues to positively impact results, data entry, and profitability; set goals for staff and schedule staff to meet customer demand and maximize productivity.

  • Conduct team meetings: provide feedback to staff to ensure maximum productivity.

  • Develop sales strategies and prospect potential new carriers to develop carrier base making sure we get the most out of our capacity.

  • Train and develop all staff members to drive internal marketing, rep development, data integrity, and automation.

  • Resolve issues about freight and deliveries between the third-party carriers, customers and sales reps.

  • Prioritize all available freight to cover all available customer loads every day efficiently and effectively.

  • Strengthen your team’s knowledge in market information about the supply and demand of capacity in the marketplace to understand market conditions, seasonality, and lane rates

  •  Collaborate with internal management teams to communicate new transportation provider opportunities and to ensure the carrier team is meeting expectations.

  • Identify new and/or reoccurring issues/problems and implement solutions.
