Position Summary:

We are seeking a driven and experienced Capture Manager to lead the pursuit of federal contract opportunities. In this key role, you will work closely with the President and Vice President of Operations to identify, shape, and manage opportunities through all phases of the capture process.

The ideal candidate will bring a proven track record in federal contract capture, particularly within the Department of Defense (DoD), and demonstrate strong strategic thinking, teaming analysis, and proposal development capabilities. Exceptional communication and organizational skills are essential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor federal opportunity portals (e.g., SAM, eBuy, GovWin).


• Lead identification and capture of new business opportunities aligned with DoD and federal agency priorities.


• Conduct market research and competitive analysis to assess and prioritize opportunities.


• Manage capture process lifecycle, including stage-gate reviews, capture strategies, and bid/no-bid decisions.


• Build and maintain strategic relationships with customers and industry partners.


• Engage early in the acquisition process to help shape requirements and position the company for success.


• Develop opportunity-specific win strategies, themes, and discriminators.


• Maintain accurate and up-to-date opportunity data in CRM and provide regular pipeline reports to leadership.


• Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to develop compliant, competitive proposal teams.


• Support proposal development efforts, analyze solicitation requirements, and contribute to the development of compelling proposal content.


• Travel as required to support capture and business development efforts.


• Perform additional duties as assigned in support of company growth objectives.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or related field.


• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a corporate-level capture role supporting federal contracts, preferably within the DoD.


• Solid understanding of DoD acquisition processes and federal procurement.


• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other business development tools.


• Shipley capture certification or training is a plus.


• U.S. citizenship is required.
