Car Wash Attendant

General Summary:

Pechanga Gas Station and Mini Mart offers a wide range of products and services including convenience, and grocery items, gasoline, propane, car wash, detailing services and quick service Mexican food. The Car Wash Attendant is responsible for providing excellent service support to the car wash operation which is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. This position requires the individual to have great attendance and be flexible to work all shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Maintain organization and cleanliness of the property at all times (inside and outside, car wash area, the pump islands, mini mart, propane station, landscaping,  driveways, back patio, parking lot, floors, shelves, coolers, storage areas, eating areas, register area, breakroom and restrooms).

• Provide solutions to customer requests and respond quickly with excellent service.
• Be an expert in our car wash products and services and guide customers to solutions that meet their needs.
• Provide assistance to customers throughout the car wash process.
• Greet car wash customers and explain car wash and detail options provided by the facility.
• Inspect      vehicles with attention to detail to assess their condition and address any existing damages before sending them into the wash area.
• Advise customers of the car wash policies.
• Motivate customers to sign up for the wash membership.
• Assist with processing payments and transactions at point of sale.
• Move or direct cars into the wash area with a pleasant, focused, and competent attitude.
• Perform daily cleaning of the facility in accordance to the cleaning checklist including but not limited to car wash bay, pit, driveway, and equipment room.
• Inspect car      wash equipment and wash bay daily to ensure all components of the car wash are in proper working order and address any issues to management.
• Carry out periodic maintenance of the wash equipment.
• Ensure vacuums are unclogged, trash cans emptied, and air/wash machines are properly maintained.
• Accountable for the use and care of property equipment (keys, hand      held devices and radios).
• Provide support to the daily operations of the Gas Station, Mini Mart, and Detail      shop.
• Troubleshoot car wash, propane dispensing station, and gas station pumps when issues arise.
• Establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with team members.
• Report all suspicious activity including counterfeit currency, potential theft and safety or emergency concerns to management if/when they occur.
• Check in vendors (chemical supply and equipment) and ensure all deliveries are properly received, counted and checked for quality.
• Report any discrepancies in the deliveries immediately to the Detail Supervisor and/or upper management.
• Monitor chemical supply use and refill reservoirs as necessary. 
• Perform daily inventory counts of chemical supply.
• Dispense propane for tanks and RV customers.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by Management.

Education and Experience:

· Must be twenty-one (21) years of age.

· Minimum of one (1) year hospitality, retail or related experience required.

· Must have valid driver’s license with no restrictions.

· Ability to perform basic mathematical computations.

· Cash handling, Point-of-sale, detail and car wash experience is a plus.
