Cardiac Support Specialist

Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and technically proficient Cardiac Support Specialist to join our Digital Imaging team. In this role, you will support cardiologists and radiologists in capturing, processing, and managing high-quality cardiac images using advanced digital imaging technologies. This position plays a critical role in our diagnostic process and directly contributes to patient care excellence.

Primary Responsibilities

• Operate specialized cardiac imaging equipment including echocardiograms, CT scans, MRI, and X-ray systems
• Prepare patients for cardiac imaging procedures and explain processes to reduce anxiety
• Adjust imaging parameters and equipment settings to optimize image quality for diagnostic purposes
• Process, enhance, and manipulate digital cardiac images using specialized software
• Monitor patients' vital signs during imaging procedures, including heart rate and blood pressure
• Maintain accurate patient records and properly document all imaging procedures
• Collaborate with cardiologists, radiologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure effective communication of diagnostic information
• Stay current with evolving cardiac imaging technologies and techniques

Qualifications

Required

• Associate's degree in Radiologic Technology, Cardiovascular Technology, or related field
• Current certification as a Radiologic Technologist (RT), Cardiovascular Technologist (CVT), or equivalent
• 2+ years of experience in cardiac imaging or cardiovascular procedures
• Proficiency with digital imaging software and PACS systems
• Strong understanding of cardiac anatomy and pathophysiology
• Excellent technical skills and attention to detail
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
