Dean’s Professional Services is now hiring a qualified, patient-care-focused Cardiac Ultrasound Techto work in a State Hospital in Houston, TX.

The Cardiac Ultrasound Techis responsible for performing all modalities of echocardiography Echocardiographic assessment of 2D, M-Mode, Color flow and continuous wave doppler, Stress echocardiography, Pharmacological stress echocardiography, Transesophageal echocardiograms.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Must be able to analyze the patient’s clinical history, identify the purpose of the examination, and expand the examination as necessary to answer the clinical questions.
  • Performs quantitative analysis of Echocardiographic studies Analysis includes systolic function (ejection fraction and wall motion analysis), diastolic function, pulmonary pressure, hemodynamic assessment, assessment of valvular abnormalities, changes in gradients, and critical values. Perform strain of measurements.
  • Equipment maintenance Prepares equipment for procedures to be performed. Cleans and disinfects equipment following patient use. Maintains equipment cleaning logs.
  • Quality assurance Participates in the collection and documentation of quality assurance information. Reports critical values immediately once identified.
  • Perform high-level disinfection of TEE probes Participate in the disinfection of TEE probes according to vendor recommendations.

    • Using the steps to HEAL (Hear, Empathize, Address, and Learn) the relationship when service recovery is needed.

Job Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent. Required
  • Technical School – Preferred
  • Two years’ experience performing echocardiography testing – Required.

Certification: All the following:

  • Certified in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR).
  • Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) through American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) -OR- Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) through Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI)."

Job Details:

  • Schedule: M-F 7:30 am – 5:00 pm
  • Starting at $39/hr. (Based on experience)
  • No Weekends, Holidays, or On Call
  • Full benefits – healthcare, dental, vision, 401k program.
