Job Description - Cardiologist


Talent Connect Executive Search & HR Solutions is recruiting a Spanish-speaking Cardiologist on behalf of a healthcare organization serving a primarily senior patient population in Los Angeles.


This is a highly flexible, part-time opportunity designed for a Cardiologist who may already have an established practice, hospital affiliation, or other professional commitments and is interested in adding approximately 4–8 hours of outpatient coverage per week.


The organization is flexible regarding how the weekly hours are structured and is willing to accommodate the physician's existing schedule. Morning availability is preferred.


Position Summary


The Cardiologist will provide outpatient cardiovascular consultations and follow-up care to a predominantly senior patient population.


This is a consultative outpatient role. No cardiology procedures are required, and the position does not require the physician to operate specialized procedural equipment.


The ideal physician is comfortable working with older adults, communicating with Spanish-speaking patients, and collaborating with primary care providers and other members of the clinical team.


Key Responsibilities




  • Conduct outpatient cardiology consultations and evaluations.




  • Provide follow-up care for patients with cardiovascular conditions.




  • Review relevant medical history, diagnostic information, medications, and treatment plans.




  • Provide clinical recommendations to patients and referring providers.




  • Support the management of chronic cardiovascular conditions commonly seen in senior populations.




  • Educate patients and families regarding cardiovascular health, medications, risk factors, and recommended follow-up.




  • Coordinate care with primary care providers and other members of the healthcare team.




  • Complete accurate and timely clinical documentation.




  • Maintain appropriate clinical and professional standards.




No procedures are required for this position.


Qualifications




  • MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.




  • Board certification or board eligibility in Cardiology/Cardiovascular Disease.




  • Active and unrestricted California medical license.




  • Appropriate credentials to practice cardiology in California.




  • Spanish-speaking ability required.




  • Experience providing outpatient cardiology care preferred.




  • Experience working with senior, Medicare, geriatric, or medically complex populations is highly valued.




  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with an interdisciplinary clinical team.




  • Must maintain appropriate professional liability/malpractice insurance for the 1099 engagement.




Schedule


Approximately 4–8 hours per week.


The organization offers significant scheduling flexibility and is open to structuring the hours around the selected physician's availability.


Potential arrangements could include:




  • One half-day per week




  • One full day per week




  • Shorter morning blocks based on availability




Morning availability is preferred.
