Cardiology Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner - Rapid Progression

An established cardiology practice in Fresno, CA area is seeking a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join their team. This is a full-time, permanent role. Candidates will working alongside a team of Physicians and APPs. Monday-Friday schedule, 8am-5pm. One weekend of hospital rounding every 8 weeks. 

Responsibilities:

• Work autonomously in clinic (once trained), 20-25 patients per day
• Examine patients, take medical history, record results, and make preliminary diagnosis
• Document patient care services
• Administer and order diagnostic tests
• Perform therapeutic procedures
• Exercise professional judgment regarding consultation with supervising physicians concerning appropriate treatment
• Develop and implement patient care plans, instruct and counsel patients, and record progress
• Prescribe medications
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide coordinated care
• Round in the hospital one weekend every eight week with Physician

Qualifications:

• Active California State License
• Ability to build rapport with patients
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proficient in using electronic medical record (EMR) systems
