What You'll Do
The Cardiopulmonary Services Director is responsible for all technical and non-technical functions of the Cardiopulmonary Services Department.
- Develops and implements respiratory and cardiopulmonary care services in accordance with the policies and procedures of the organization.
- Monitors patient progress and treatment plans. Develops budgets and ensures the department operates with budgetary goals.
- Monitors departmental spending and identifies improvements to ensure cost-effectiveness.
- Plans and develops appropriate business plans for new sources of service and revenue.
- Assures adequate staff coverage through the development of staffing plans.
- Interviews and hires employees, oversees orientation of new cardiopulmonary staff, conducts performance evaluations, and processes timecards for the department.
- Leads and directs the work of others.
- Conducts service huddles and department meetings on an ongoing basis.
- Develops and implements departmental goals based on strategic objectives.
- Facilitates effective communication between departments to ensure that patient needs are met. Attends leadership meetings and other meetings as designated.
- Contributes to organizational, departmental and personal growth and development.
- A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
- Performs a variety of tasks and other duties as assigned.
Who We're Looking For
- Current Respiratory Therapist Licensure valid in the state of Colorado required throughout employment. Advanced degree preferred.
- Must have current American Heart Association BLS certification and must maintain current status throughout employment.
- American Heart Association ACLS and PALS certifications must be obtained within six months of employment and maintained throughout employment.
- At least 5 years of professional experience performing all aspects of cardiopulmonary services preferred.
- At least 2 years of supervisory experience in a related field preferred.

Pay Range: $58.90-$65.76/hour (based on experience)
Shift Differentials: $2–$4/hour for nights and weekends

Compensation may vary outside this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience.
