Call Schedule:

Weeknights 5p–7a (2 nights per week)
Weekend 7a Fri – 7a Mon

Call Type: Beeper
Call Response Time: 30 mins
Reason for Coverage: Supplemental
Travel, Lodging, and Malpractice Insurance: Covered by Agency

PATIENT INFORMATION

Case Mix: CT surgery cases, including coronary artery bypass, valve repair/replacement, aneurysm repair, etc.

FACILITY INFORMATION

EMR System: Epic
Support Staff: 2 RNs, 1 MA, 3 APPs

PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE

Hospital Privileges Required: No
Temporary Privileges Available: No

REQUIRED PROCEDURES

Required:
- General CV/thoracic surgery (Open, endoscopic)
- Coronary artery bypass surgery (On pump, Off pump)
- Valvular repair/replacement
- Aneurysm repair (Cardiac, Aorto-thoracic)
- TAVR, CABG
- Vent Management
- Eval. And management of acute vol/BP issues
- C-Lines, A-Lines, PA Catheter, IABP

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Board: BC
Licenses: WA or IMLC

Duties & Responsibilities

Provide cardiothoracic surgery coverage including clinic one day per week.
Perform procedures such as minimally invasive mitral, Impella55, aortic valve conservation, aortic root remodeling.
Cover weekday night call (2 nights per week) and weekend call (Friday 7am to Monday 7am).
Manage patient volume and acute volume/BP issues, insert central lines, arterial lines, PA catheters, IABP.
Collaborate with support staff (RNs, MAs, PA/NPs) in an inpatient setting.
