Position Summary:

Seeking a skilled and experienced Professional Cardiovascular and Electrophysiology Registered Nurse (RN) to join our dedicated team in Dover, DE. The RN will work within the Cardiovascular, Electrophysiology (EP), and Interventional Neurology Labs, delivering high-quality patient care during diagnostic and interventional procedures.

This position requires a clinical expert capable of performing complex procedures such as cardiac catheterizations, EP studies, pacemaker and ICD insertions, stroke thrombectomies, and structural heart interventions like TAVR and LAAO. The ideal candidate will demonstrate critical thinking, clinical competency, and adaptability in a fast-paced procedural setting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepares procedure rooms and equipment for a safe, efficient environment
• Reviews patient charts, verifies labs, and ensures complete documentation prior to procedures
• Provides comprehensive pre- and post-procedure assessments and nursing care
• Circulates and assists during procedures using real-time documentation systems (MacLab/CardioLab)
• Administers procedural sedation in accordance with hospital policy
• Participates in and documents pre-procedure Time Out and Full Stop safety protocols
• Maintains accurate and timely documentation of all clinical activities and procedural events
• Collaborates with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Provides ongoing education, mentorship, and orientation to new staff
• Actively participates in continuing education and maintains all required certifications
• Performs all other related duties as assigned within scope of role

Required Qualifications:

Education:

• Associate Degree or Nursing Diploma required
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred or required within 36 months of hire

Licensure & Certifications:

• Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license (DE or compact state eligible)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Required
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Required

Experience:

• Required: Minimum of 1 year of experience in ICU, CVICU, IMC, or Cath Lab
• Preferred: Experience in a Cardiovascular or Electrophysiology Lab
• Note: New graduates and candidates with only Med/Surg experience will not be considered

Additional Details:

• Must be available for variable shifts, on-call rotations, holidays, and weekends
• Must possess strong knowledge of cardiovascular, neuro-interventional, and EP procedures
• Demonstrated skill with patient monitoring systems, intra-cardiac ultrasound, and X-ray fluoroscopy preferred
• Strong communication and documentation skills essential
• No 1099 options; W-2 employment only
