Reason for Coverage: Short-staffed

Patient Demographics: 100% Adult
Rounding: 5-10 patients

FACILITY INFORMATION

EMR: Epic

PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE

Hospital Privileges Required: Yes
Credentialing Timeline: 90-120 days

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Board: BC/BE
Licenses: Active VA license
DEA: Active DEA certification
Experience: Training/experience required

Duties & Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive care to cardiothoracic surgery patients in inpatient and outpatient settings.
First assist in cardiovascular and cardiothoracic surgical procedures.
Perform daily rounds on inpatients, manage post-operative care.
Participate in weekend rounding and call coverage (nights and weekends).
Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes.
