Summary

While upholding the Star Valley Health mission, vision, and values this key position is responsible to provide quality, compassionate resident care through performing delegated tasks within the realm of certified nursing assistant training. Resident care will be performed in an efficient competent manner. This position will comply with all federal, state, and local regulations. This is an at-will position.

Job Duties

• Direct resident care through procedures within the scope of your training and practice, according to state and federal regulations and facility policies and procedures.
• Indirect resident care by observing residents' needs and behavior and responds accordingly to the resident’s rights and application.
• Observing resident needs and behavior responds accordingly.
• Report on conditions of all patients under assigned care to charge nurse.
• Promotes a cooperative and congenial working environment with residents, colleagues, and guests of the care center.
• Attends, or is responsible for information presented, in-service meetings, and training.
• Maintains equipment and environment to safety standards.
• Utilizes computer skills in the documentation of resident care.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Abilities & Skills:

• Strong communication skills, including colleagues, patients, and families.
• Embraces changes and improvements which may enhance the quality, function, and appearance of the patient care experience and facility.
• Possess computer skills needed for documentation of resident cares.

Experience & Education:

• Completion of a state-certified CNA training course
• Active State of Wyoming CNA Certification
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
