Care Center Manager (RN) - Mid Pinellas Care Center

Suncoast Hospice, a part of Empath Health is seeking a Care Center Manager (RN) to join our team. The Care Center Manager is an integral component of the leadership team at Suncoast Hospice.

What you'll Do

• Ensures team decision making and care reflects knowledge of and compliance with agency policies & procedures and governing regulatory bodies.


• The Care Center Manager has the primary responsibility and authority for maintaining quality of patient care in accordance with the organization’s objectives and policies through planning, coordinating, implementing, and evaluating the services provided to patients and families.


• This position is responsible for the 24/7 oversight of patient and family services in the Care Center.


• Demonstrates an understanding of key financial indicators and metrics necessary to measure and improve performance.


• Empowers and inspires others to engage in a broader vision of the organization, ensuring customer service excellence.


• Provides effective teaching, coaching and feedback to promote optimal performance.


• Establishes processes that promotes learning from other people, both within and across departments.


• Seeks and responds to feedback from internal/external customers with a sense of urgency.


• Continually works to implement systems, processes & best practices that make it enhance the patient/customer experience.

What You'll Need

• Education and/or Experience: Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience; Masters degree in one of the core disciplines of Hospice preferred.


• Licensure: Valid Florida license as a Registered Nurse


• Certifications: Valid CPR certification from the American Red Cross or American Heart Association.


• Two years Hospice experience. Management experience preferred.


• Employees must have reliable transportation which will enable them to perform tasks and responsibilities in a timely and appropriate fashion. Must provide proof of valid automobile insurance, a copy of which will be placed in the employee’s HR file.


• Seven to ten total years experience in related discipline.


• Must successfully complete critical thinking skills assessment

Continuing education:  Must acquire continuing education and training related to regulatory and professional practices.  Demonstrates advancement in knowledge and expertise.  .
