Key Responsibilities:
- Overall management of the caregivers, including development and implementation of caregiver training programs in collaboration with the supervisor.
- Conduct quality assurance site checks of each caregiver to ensure care plans are being implemented correctly, policies and procedures are adhered to, and all job duties are performed in a manner that is satisfactory and meets the Senior Helpers brand expectations.
- Creates morale building recognition programs for the caregivers such as caregiver of the Month, acknowledgments of high-level performances, and training completions.
- Reviews the daily logs and time sheets bi-weekly to ensure that each caregiver is following the care plan and that lost hours are identified.
- Communicates all new hires, terminations, and inactive employees to Scheduling Manager for input into home care computer software.
- Manages caregiver call outs, late arrivals, early departures, and refusals of assignments; takes appropriate action based on company policies.
- Ensure that applicants have been properly screened and that orientation/hiring sessions are comprehensive and conducted for all hires.
- Ensures appropriate matching and placement of caregivers with clients and optimal coverage.
- Implementation of the Senior Gems® program, our Senior Helpers designed Alzheimer & Dementia program (training provided).
- Supervision, and when necessary, discipline of caregivers.
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree and three years of related work experience in lieu of education
- Active IL CNA License preferred
- Must have worked in private duty and/or home care before as office staff, in some capacity
- Has reliable transportation and ability to occasionally supervise Caregivers in the field
- Must have some experience, either formal or informal, in assisting a client or loved one with ADL's
- Must be willing to be on-call one evening per week, one weekend per month, and at least 1 holiday
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, internet, and Outlook required
- Ability to learn other software programs quickly
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
