Overview
Paradigmworks Group Inc is seeking a passionate and dedicated Instructor to join our Career Preparation Phase educational team. The ideal candidate will be a welcoming presence at Hartford Job Corps, encouraging new students to learn and grow so they can graduate with trade certification and with a job offer in that trade or discipline. The CPP Instructor is responsible for delivering high-quality instruction and fostering an engaging learning environment. This role is essential in shaping the academic journey of our students, ensuring they receive the support and knowledge necessary to succeed.

Duties:

• Assesses student career transition readiness.
• Participates in ESPs (student evaluation performance) and evaluates student performance and employability skills. Provides regular feedback to student.
• Performs as an instructional facilitator in a regular classroom setting, presenting instruction in varied classes and activities to include but not limited to preparatory and developmental Academic and Career Technical Education (CTE) foundational skills, Workplace Communications, Employability Skills, Information Technology, Health Education, Driver’s Education preparation coursework and CSS Standards, etc.
• Provides regular feedback to students regarding appropriate employability skills to students. Inspires them to go beyond their perceived expectations.
• Models, mentors, and monitors appropriate Career Success Standards
• Develops and constantly evaluates Career Preparation curriculum and works directly with the vocational instructors and career transition staff in coordinating curriculum development.
• Makes adequate preparation for classroom activities and maintains a high degree of discipline within the classroom in order to maximize learning.
• Ensures that students are actively engaged at all times.
• Establishes a high degree of student/instructor rapport.
• Assists students in developing career goals and objectives.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or High School Equivalency (GED) required. Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Previous classroom experience preferred.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage students effectively.
• Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in lesson planning and assessment.
• A commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment for all students.
• Ability to adapt teaching methods to accommodate diverse learning styles.
