Part-Time Caregiver Opportunity – Dripping Springs, TX
Location: Dripping Springs, Texas
Pay Rate: $15–$20/hour (based on experience)
Schedule:
- Wednesday: 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM
- Friday: 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM
(Potential for additional hours and schedule changes over time)
We are seeking an experienced, outgoing, and fun-loving caregiver to support an older gentleman with memory issues in the Dripping Springs, TX area. We are looking to hire as soon as possible. Dementia experience is a bonus!
The client is fully mobile but a slight fall risk and would benefit from companionship, encouragement for daily activities, healthy meals, and light exercise. This role is ideal for someone who is compassionate, energetic, and can bring positivity into the client’s day.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide companionship and engage the client in activities such as puzzles, cards, and outings.
- Encourage and assist with bathing, grooming, toileting, and light exercise.
- Support meal preparation with a focus on healthy eating.
- Assist with light housekeeping tasks, including cleaning bathrooms, kitchens, and disinfecting surfaces.
- Provide transportation for errands and appointments if needed (mileage reimbursed at 70 cents/mile).
- Use the WellSky Personal Care app for scheduling and communication.
- Maintain clear and kind communication with both the client and the team.
Requirements:
- A heart for caring for people and making a positive impact.
- 18 years or older with a clean background check (required).
- Reliable, punctual, and consistently on-time or early for shifts.
- Clear and fluent communication in English.
- Reliable personal transportation.
- Comfortable assisting with bathing, toileting, and light transferring (gait belt and Hoyer lift experience preferred; training available).
- Smartphone capable of downloading and using the WellSky Personal Care app.
- Willing to complete a paid 90-minute orientation.
