About this position:
We are seeking compassionate people with the desire to help the elderly with their day to day lives in Sarasota, Venice, Englewood, North Port, Port Charlotte and Punta Gorda. As a MCK Caregiver, you will provide essential assistance to individuals who require support with their daily activities and personal care. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of others.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with medication reminders, report discrepancies to the Nursing staff
- Provide Client care with assistance for bathing, grooming, and dressing
- Transferring of patients as needed using proper body mechanics-*we do not do deadlifts
- Care for individuals with Dementia or memory impairments
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients and caregivers
- Offer emotional support and companionship to clients, ensuring the best quality of life
- Assist with meal preparation and feeding; follow any dietary restrictions
- Provide care in various settings such as private residences, nursing homes, assisted living facilities, or memory care units
Requirements:
- Ability to properly lift and move objects or individuals safely
- Ability to follow the prescribed Care Plan
- Strong attention to detail and ability to properly document shift tasks
- Have a compassionate and patient demeanor
- Valid Driver’s License, Auto Insurance and Transportation
- Current or willingness to complete Hands-On CPR Certification-we offer a $60 course through our office and give you the cert
- Current or willingness to complete Level 2 Background Screening
- Current (within the last 6 months) or willingness to complete TB Test
