Caregiver

University Home Care Inc is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver to provide quality care and support to our clients in Port Huron, MI. This role involves assisting individuals with daily living activities to enhance their independence and well-being in a home environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and medication reminders.


• Help with mobility, transfers, and light exercises as needed.


• Provide companionship and engage clients in activities to promote mental and emotional well-being.


• Prepare meals and assist with feeding according to dietary needs.


• Perform light housekeeping duties to maintain a safe and clean environment.


• Monitor and report changes in clients' health or behavior to supervisors or healthcare professionals.


• Follow care plans and adhere to company policies and procedures.

Requirements

• Previous care giving or healthcare experience is a plus, but not necessary.


• Ability to communicate effectively and show empathy towards clients.


• Reliable, trustworthy, and able to work independently.


• Must be able to pass background checks and any required health screenings.


• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred.
