Caregiver Assistant

University Home Care Inc is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver Assistant to join our team in Highland Township, MI. In this role, you will provide essential support to clients in their daily living activities, helping to improve their quality of life and maintain their independence. Responsibilities

• Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and hygiene.


• Provide companionship and engage clients in social activities.


• Support clients with meal preparation and feeding as needed.


• Help with light housekeeping duties, including laundry and cleaning.


• Accompany clients to appointments, errands, or recreational activities.


• Monitor and report any changes in clients’ health or behavior to supervisors.


• Maintain accurate records of care provided and follow care plans as directed.

Requirements

• Ability to communicate effectively and show empathy towards clients.


• Basic understanding of health and safety principles.


• Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team.


• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation preferred but not required.


• Ability to pass any required background checks.
