Responsibilities Include but are not limited to:

• Caregiver provides care and supervision to residents.
• Caregiver must be responsible for the safety and well-being of residents.
• Caregiver maintains community policies and procedures for the overall protection of residents.
• Caregiver assists residents to prepare for the day, the evening, and ADLs (Activities of Daily Living).
• Caregiver will be trained on the Emergency Protocols and be ready to enact them in any given emergency.
• Communicate and follow-up with charting to stay in compliance with daily tasks.
• Attend training and mandatory in-services with the Care Team.
• Assist leads with any assignments or work requests.
• Report any suspicion or evidence of elder abuse, mistreatment or neglect.
• Assist in keeping residents' rooms, medication rooms', and common areas neat and clean.
• Any tasks assigned, as needed.

Requirements

• Must be authorized to work in the US.
• Able to speak, read and write in English.
• First-Aid certification is required.
• Must be able to successfully complete Basic Life Support certification and bloodborne-pathogens training within 30 days of hire.
• Experience with care and supervision for elders and seniors (6 months or more experience in health care preferred).
• Physical requirements include but are not limited to: able to lift up to 60 lbs., push/pull up to 40 lbs., carry up to 20 lbs., frequent standing and walking required
• Possess access to reliable transportation.
• Ability to follow basic instructions and carry out assignments independently.
• Ability to interface appropriately with other staff, residents, family members, visitors and outside contractors.
• Ability to work flexible hours including and not limited to: weekends, evenings, holidays, and/or events.
• Own a smart phone (for schedule updates and communication).
• Possess a means of reliable transportation.
• Valid California driver's license, good driving record with active auto insurance.

$18.00 - $23.00 per hour, based on experience
