Caregiver Full Time 2nd Shift

Join LIFE, Inc. - New Bern as a dedicated Caregiver (Full Time, 2nd Shift) based in Newport, NC. In this vital role, you will provide compassionate, personalized support to clients, assisting with daily living activities to enhance their independence and quality of life. You will work closely with an interdisciplinary team to ensure each client’s needs are met with professionalism and care. This position offers a competitive compensation of $17.50 per hour, paid bi-weekly, with opportunities for growth in a supportive environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on assistance and supervision to clients with dressing, bathing, toileting, and other personal care activities.


• Support clients during mealtimes, encouraging family-style dining and proper nutrition.


• Assist clients with housekeeping tasks including clothing care, general house cleaning, and yard maintenance to promote a safe and comfortable living environment.


• Help clients prepare meals and nutritional supplements, ensuring dietary guidelines are followed.


• Administer prescribed medications accurately and safely, adhering to all protocols.


• Support clients in following prescribed diet orders and the use of adaptive equipment as necessary.


• Implement established behavior programs, maintain detailed data collection, and follow all safety procedures diligently.


• Facilitate active treatment plans by supporting training objectives, recording progress data, and working toward service goals.


• Collaborate effectively as a member of the interdisciplinary team, communicating client information as directed by supervisors.


• Transport and supervise clients during outings using Company vehicles as assigned.


• Support clients during community activities, school, and day program participation.


• Perform additional duties as assigned by management to meet organizational needs.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED minimum.


• Valid North Carolina Driver’s License.


• Must be at least 21 years old.
