About the Client:
Our client is an individual living with Schizoaffective Disorder, a chronic mental health condition involving symptoms of both schizophrenia (such as hallucinations or delusions) and mood disorders (such as depression or mania). The client thrives best in a calm, supportive, and structured environment.

Role Overview:
We are seeking a compassionate, patient, and reliable caregiver to provide consistent support, daily assistance, and companionship. The ideal candidate will understand the importance of emotional stability and gentle encouragement in promoting the client’s well-being and independence.

Responsibilities:

• Provide emotional support and promote a calm, safe environment
  
• Assist with daily living activities (meals, hygiene, medication reminders, light housekeeping)
  
• Encourage engagement in daily routines and positive activities
  
• Monitor and report changes in behavior or mood to the care team
  
• Maintain confidentiality and uphold professional boundaries
  

Qualifications:

• Previous experience working with clients with mental health conditions preferred
  
• Understanding of Schizoaffective Disorder or willingness to learn
  
• Strong communication and empathy skills
  
• Dependable, patient, and calm under pressure
  
• Must pass background check and have valid work authorization
