Caretaker

The Caretaker is responsible for general upkeep of the building and property, including the Renaissance Shoppe.

This is a Monday - Friday, Per Diem position, 4 - 8 hours per week.

Responsibilities of the Caretaker:

• Performs general light maintenance needs such as lighting, light plumbing, changing of filters, window washing, minor repairs to include small painting projects, moving furniture.
• Provides winter-related maintenance such a shoveling walkways, salting, and de-icing, as needed to supplement plowing contract.
• Provides summer-related outside maintenance such as mowing, weed whacking, and general yard maintenance.
• Performs general outside fall and spring cleanup.
• Provides minor cleaning chores, as need to supplement outside cleaning service.
• Performs general monthly building safety checks.
• Transports office recycling to town transfer station.
• Assists Renaissance Shoppe with moving items and light maintenance.
• Practices safe body mechanics in all aspects of maintenance and supply organization.
• Engages in respectful communication (both verbal and written) with team members, patients, family members, and the community.
• Adheres to agency wide policies.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications of the Caretaker:

• Minimum of two years' experience involving repair and maintenance work.
• Must possess flexibility and desire to assist staff in retrieving, repairing, or moving equipment and other objects as the need arises.
• Must be self-motivated and organized.
• Must recognize limitations of position; to call in specialized assistance as necessary.
• Proof of Flu vaccination
• Reliable transportation
• Valid driver's license
• Automobile insurance
• Physical exam within the last year
• Two-step TB test
