Two Sons Construction is looking for a skilled Carpenter to join our team! In this role, you will construct, install, and repair structures and fixtures of wood, plywood, and wallboard using a carpenter’s hand and power tools.
You are hard-working, a team player, and dedicated to performing quality work in all that you do. Significant past experience as a professional carpenter is highly preferred and a positive attitude is a must!
Responsibilities:
- Follow established safety rules and regulations and maintain a safe and clean environment
- Study specifications in blueprints, sketches, or building plan to prepare project layout and determine dimensions and materials required
- Measure and mark cutting lines on materials, using a ruler, pencil, chalk, and marking gauge
- Shape or cut materials to specified measurements, using hand tools, machines, or power saws
- Install structures or fixtures, such as windows, doors, frames, floorings, trim, or hardware, using carpenters' hand or power tools
- Interact with customers in a professional and friendly manner
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a professional carpenter
- Must have an understanding of basic math, architectural measurements & dimensions, grades & elevations, and commonly accepted means & methods of concrete formwork carpentry
- Ability to read and correctly interpret blueprints, and to follow layout provided for the proposed work
- Should be skilled with & be able to safely operate/use all carpentry tools including tape measure, rotary laser, string line, circular saw, levels, hammer & nails, chalk line, rotary hammer, square, etc.
- Must be able to lift 40 lbs
