Carpenter Foreman

We are seeking an experienced Carpenter Foreman to lead a skilled team of carpenters on behalf of our client, a leading company specializing in the construction and installation of high-quality furniture, stairways, flooring, timber products, and other related structures. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership abilities, excellent carpentry skills, and the ability to oversee and manage teams while ensuring project completion to the highest standards.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and supervise a team of carpenters in the construction and installation of furniture, stairways, flooring, and timber products, ensuring all work is completed on time and within project specifications.
• Utilize advanced joinery techniques and woodworking skills to assist in construction and installation when needed.
• Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and design plans to delegate tasks and ensure efficient material use.
• Ensure accurate measurement, cutting, shaping, and assembly of wood and other materials, guiding the team in best practices.
• Oversee the installation of hardware, including hinges, handles, and locks, and ensure precise workmanship in all installations.
• Collaborate with the design team, other trades, and clients to ensure the project vision is realized with high-quality craftsmanship.
• Conduct regular inspections of tools and equipment, ensuring they are properly maintained and used safely.
• Maintain strict adherence to safety protocols and industry standards, promoting a safe working environment.
• Provide training, mentoring, and support to less-experienced carpenters or apprentices.
• Effectively communicate project progress, challenges, and solutions with supervisors, team members, and clients.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Carpenter Foreman or similar leadership role, with hands-on experience in the carpentry industry.
• Expertise in joinery techniques and advanced woodworking skills.
• Strong knowledge of various woodworking tools, equipment, and materials, with the ability to lead a team in their proper use.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and design plans to manage project scope effectively.
• Excellent attention to detail, ensuring high precision in measurements, cuts, and overall craftsmanship.
• Good physical stamina and ability to work in a variety of conditions and environments.
• Strong leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with the ability to manage and motivate a team.
• Effective communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
• Knowledge of safety protocols and regulations, with a focus on maintaining a safe work environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certification or formal training in carpentry or a related field.
• Familiarity with construction equipment, aluminum profiles, roofing, and stainless steel & steel work.
• Experience working with both traditional and modern carpentry techniques and materials.
