Job Summary
We’re looking for a well-rounded experienced Carpenters / General Maintenance Technicians that are skilled in all areas of carpentry or maintenance to join our team! You’ll make sure our facilities are operating efficiently, regularly attending to our property, amenities and buildings for any needed repairs and conducting routine maintenance. The ideal person for this job is a reliable, self-motivated, proactive team player, and a problem solver with strong work ethic who takes pride in their work. Responsibilities
Carpenters
- This is a roll-up your sleeves. get your hands dirty and perform carpentry work in order to keep our resort looking the best it can!
- Perform all functions of general carpentry work for all property needs including amenities, rooms, buildings, and facilities from repairs to minor construction tasks
General Maintenance
- Conduct routine maintenance on equipment and systems such as HVAC units, plumbing fixtures, electrical wiring, laundry, kitchen and bar equipment and pool equipment to make sure they’re operating efficiently and make any needed repairs that do not require licensed professionals
- Perform preventative maintenance throughout property including painting, and general upkeep.
- Maintain motel rooms and cabins; and refurbish furniture and fixtures within guest rooms
- Maintain grounds ie mowing, trimming, blowing, etc
- Handle additional maintenance tasks as needed
Qualifications
- High school diploma/GED or equivalent with basic math skills
- Must be able to climb ladders, bend, twist, kneel, turn, lift up to 50lbs, stand, walk, drive a golf cart, and operate necessary tools to do job
- Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather
- At least 1-2 years of maintenance experience
- Knowledge of heating and air conditioning units, plumbing systems, and electrical systems
- Advanced understanding of maintenance equipment, procedures, and techniques
- Must have knowledge of safety protocols and adhere to them
- Available to be in a rotation for on call and respond to maintenance requests on nights and weekends
- Excellent work ethic, communication skills, time management skills, and attention to detail
